Subscription & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: September 2026

This policy explains how F&P Plumbing & Heating Ltd boiler-cover subscriptions operate and how customers can cancel.

It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

1. Your Subscription

F&P boiler-cover plans are paid monthly.

Your subscription begins when you complete the purchase and payment process, but your boiler cover does not become active merely because the first payment has been made.

F&P must first complete the applicable checks and approve the boiler/cover.

We will confirm when your cover becomes active.

2. Initial Minimum Term

The subscription has an initial minimum term of 12 months, subject to any statutory cancellation rights that apply.

After the initial 12-month minimum term, the subscription continues on a monthly rolling basis until cancelled.

3. Statutory 14-Day Cancellation Period

If you are a consumer and enter into your agreement online or otherwise at a distance, you will normally have the right to cancel the contract within 14 days of the contract being concluded without giving a reason.

To cancel during this period, tell F&P clearly that you wish to cancel before the 14-day period expires.

You can contact us by:

Email: info@fandpplumbing.co.uk

Phone: 0121 330 0323

or by writing to:

F&P Plumbing & Heating Ltd

Industrial Estate, Unit 16 Long Lane

Halesowen, B62 9LD

Where applicable, we will provide any refund required under consumer law.

If you expressly ask us to begin providing a chargeable service during the statutory cancellation period, the legal rules concerning payment for services already supplied may apply.

This statutory cancellation right is separate from the F&P 14-day claims exclusion described below.

4. 14-Day Claims Exclusion

Once F&P has approved your boiler and confirmed that cover is active, a separate 14-day claims exclusion applies.

Claims cannot be made during the first 14 days after cover becomes active.

This is not an additional cancellation period and it does not remove your statutory consumer rights.

5. Cancellation During the 12-Month Minimum Term

Once any applicable statutory cancellation period has ended, the 12-month minimum term applies.

If your circumstances mean that you need to end the agreement during the minimum term, please contact F&P.

Any amount payable or other consequence of ending the agreement early will depend on the terms of the agreement, applicable consumer law and the circumstances of the cancellation.

This policy does not state that every remaining monthly payment automatically becomes payable on early cancellation.

6. Cancellation After the Minimum Term

After the initial 12-month minimum term, your subscription continues monthly.

You may cancel without a separate 30-day notice requirement.

Where cancellation is arranged for the end of your current billing period:

  • your cover remains active until that effective cancellation date;
  • any payment properly due for the current billing period remains payable;
  • no further recurring subscription payment should be taken for a later billing period after cancellation takes effect.

7. How to Cancel

After you become eligible for self-service cancellation, you may use the cancellation facility provided through My F&P Account where available.

You can also contact F&P:

Email: info@fandpplumbing.co.uk

Phone: 0121 330 0323

If you are within the initial minimum term, contact F&P so that we can review the request and explain the position that applies to your agreement.

8. Refunds

Any refund entitlement will depend on the reason for cancellation, when the cancellation takes place, services already provided and your rights under applicable consumer law.

Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation right provided by law.

We do not promise refunds for unused parts of a billing period where no legal or contractual refund entitlement applies.

9. Cancellation or Suspension by F&P

F&P may suspend or end a subscription where there is a reasonable and proportionate reason, including:

  • payments remaining outstanding;
  • materially false or misleading information being provided;
  • repeated refusal of safe and reasonable access needed to provide the service;
  • the boiler or system becoming unsafe or unsuitable for continued cover;
  • fraud, abuse or serious breach of the agreement.

Where appropriate, F&P will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

10. If Your Boiler Is Not Approved

If F&P cannot approve the boiler or heating system following the initial review/check, we will tell you.

F&P will then deal with the subscription and any payment already taken in accordance with the circumstances and your applicable statutory rights.

Do not describe a failed approval as a customer cancellation.
